The Runaway Trilogy Books 1 & 2

The Runaway & The Russian

(The Runaway Trilogy Book 1)

The Blurb:

When her best friend goes missing after being targeted by child groomers, Tess Robertson feels she has no choice but to run away.
Fearing for her life, she leaves the children’s home and boards a train bound for the capital.
While wandering the streets of London, Tess realises she is being followed, causing her to run once again—straight into the path of a bullet meant for arms dealer, Kolya Barinov.
While Tess recovers, Kolya vows to keep her safe: to give her a good life in return for saving his.
But is this simply swapping one danger for another?
Or could the path to true happiness begin with blood and bullets?

I had no other choice than to give this story a resounding 5 stars.

A tale of love and also sorrow. Tess is such an amazingly strong but resilient character. I truly
can't wait to read the sequel.

The Blurb:

With police interviews and an ongoing threat to contend with, Kolya has to work harder than ever to keep his young wife safe. His vow to respect her innocence becomes harder with each passing day, so when an opportunity to create distance presents itself, he doesn’t hesitate to take it.
Tess is in love, though she’s finding it difficult to deal with her husband’s high-handed behaviour. Due to her background and fiery temper, she has little respect for authority, which often leads to potentially volatile situations.
If they want their marriage to survive, both will have to compromise, and give in to the soul-deep feelings which have gripped them since the day they met.

I have been eagerly awaiting this book and having just finished it, it was everything I had hoped it would be. It doesn’t take long for the story to pull you straight back in and and it has you turning the pages in anticipation of what’s going to happen and for answers. Tess is such a feisty character you can’t help but fall in love with her and be rooting for her throughout as well as mentally high fiving her for saying what she thinks! Kolya at times I really wanted to shake him and shout at home but he redeemed himself and I still love him! I have a soft spot
for Ivan when you see his softer side at the end, and Franco I have my suspicions about what’s wrong with him in this book but will leave you to make up your own mind.
The runaway in love has you laughing and crying (a lot in places) and I can’t wait for the next instalment!
